One of my friend has double bachelors degrees ( 4 yrs Pharamcy and 2 yrs Microbiology)+ 5 years work experience as a manufacturing pharmacist+MS degree in pharmacy from Korea (Last semester)+GRE 1140 ( V-430, Q710, A3.5)+Toefl IBT- waiting for results.+ he has submitted 3 research papers in international journals and is waiting for their acceptance.

he wants to do PHD (Pharmaceutics/ industrial pharmacy - his present work) from USA but the problem is that he cannot get recommendation letter from his MS supervisor as he wants him to do his PHD in his lab. This seems very crazy but it is the case here in KOREA and JAPAN. Thus he has to apply with recommendations from his Bachelors professors and employer.

will it be possible to get admission without a recomendation from current supervisor? or it is just foolishness to apply without it?

Kindly suggest as it is very important.

As most of the sajha members are students in US colleges, I hope their suggestion in this regard are very reliable and important.
