AN INQUIRER READER attending a conference in Japan was sat just feet away from a laptop computer that suddenly exploded into flames, in what could have been a deadly accident.
Gaston, our astonished reader reports: "The damn thing was on fire and produced several explosions for more than five minutes".

Should you witness such an event, his advice is, "Don't try anything courageous/stupid, stay away, away, away!"

That's pretty old and stale news. And, DELL has already started pulling out those faulty batteries from the market.

I guess Al Quida and other Islamist terrorists might be getting inspired by Dell Corporation.

May be they are thinking that it is much more annoying to explode someone else's laptop and stop them from doing their work than to ram airplanes into tall buildings.

Its not the batteries.Its a virus called "bomb.dell" that loads up with your operating system and overheats your harddrive which then helps the batteries to ignite.
