फागुन २५ गते महाराजगन्ज पुगेका एमाले अध्यक्ष खनालले कोइरालासँग भ्रमणको खास उद्देश्य जान्न खोजेका थिए । जवाफमा कोइरालाले भारतीय नेताहरूसँग भेट पनि हुने बताएपछि खनालले केही 'टिप्स' दिन खोजेका थिए । तर, कोइरालाले भारतसँग गर्ने कुरा आफूलाई थाहा भएको बताएर टारेका थिए । त्यसबेला एमाले अध्यक्ष खनालले प्रतिपक्षमा बसिरहने कांग्रेसको निर्णयमा पुनःविचार गर्न कोइरालालाई आग्रह गर्दा कोइरालाले माओवादी क्रियाकलापप्रति असन्तुष्टि जनाउँदै माओवादीको विकल्प खोज्न सकिने बताएका थिए । स्रोतका अनुसार, बाहिरएपछि कोइरालाले त्यहाँ उपस्ि थत आफू निकटहरूसँग माओवादीका तर्फबाट जासुसी गर्न आएको भन्दै खनालप्रति कटाक्ष पनि गरेका थिए ।
