Can any one tell me how can we take a semester break still maintaining the F1 status? Also who is eligible for that?

..ya the student who is in F1 status can take a semester break..its better if u cud talk wid ur int'l advisor..its better.. i m also takin sem. break next sem..

got to have permission from academic dean and internatinal advisor...

i dun think so....u need to leave da country within 1 months prior to the school start... n then u came come back after the spring 2 ends i mean  deadline for the registration ends..i talked wid my advisor n he told me so...do u guys have ay site to look 4 da rules relating dis matter?....

I am taking my Semester Break.Currently I am in Nepal.
Since I have taken a semester break, My international advisor had said to me that I have to get a new I-20.
So if a new I-20 is issued for me from my university, do I need to apply for US visa again? My visa period has not expired yet and the entry type is M. Please suggest me.
